Lawrence Medical Center collaborates with various agencies to ensure comprehensive patient treatment. These include the Department of Children and Families, probation, the Department of Corrections, primary care practices, detox and in-patient psychiatric services, medical hospitalization, medication-assisted treatment (Buprenorphine, Methadone, Vivitrol), community support services (Tapestry Health, needle exchange), and homeless services such as healthcare, shelters, and food pantries.

Group Counseling/Therapy

A therapeutic process where patients meet confidentially in a supportive group setting with others facing similar stressors. Group members share personal experiences and provide constructive feedback, while a leader facilitates effective communication. Topics may include exploring relationships, improving self-esteem, enhancing coping skills, and planning for relapse prevention strategies.

Individual Counseling/Therapy

A therapeutic process where patients work one-on-one with a trained therapist in a safe, caring, and confidential environment to explore feelings, beliefs, and behaviors that negatively influence their lives. The primary aim is to help facilitate meaningful change and improve the overall quality of life. It helps patients create new skills to handle challenging situations that would have previously led to relapse and setbacks in recovery

Case Management

This collaborative process involves assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation, and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual’s or family’s comprehensive needs related to substance use or mental health. If additional needs arise, such as housing, financial stability, education, or medication-assisted treatment, the clinician will refer with the patient or family member’s consent.

Peer Recovery Support Specialists

Individuals in recovery from addictive use or co-occurring mental health disorders possess valuable life experiences that enable them to provide meaningful recovery support. Their unique journeys and insights allow them to offer guidance and encouragement, helping others benefit from their experiences while navigating their own recovery processes.
